Two Porcelain French Apothecary Jars

This pair of French Limoges apothecary jars are from the late 19th century. The polychrome paintings on each jar feature Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine with a rampant loin on both sides. The jars are in excellent condition but there is some wear to the gold gilt. One jar is marked "A. Pillivuyi Foecy, Limoges" and the other is marked "A. P. Foecy-Limoges". H: 11", Diameter: 5".
