Antique Windsor candle stands are rare and this cherry example is only the second one that I have owned. The candlestand has three very slender vase and ring turned legs that are mortised through the dish top. The top, the three legs, and one stretcher are made of cherry. The two remaining stretchers are made of walnut so I believe that they are early replacements. The candlestand is probably from Pennsylvania and was made in the late 18th century. There is a repair to one leg, a warp to the top, and a 1" by 1" patch in the center of the top. Top: 12" in diameter, H: 26.75".
