This large molded copper and zinc full bodied weathervane was made in the New England States. The weathervane is from the late 19th century and has a nice verdigris surface with some of the original gilt remaining on the horse. The horse has several old bullet hole repairs and one bullet hole in the neck. The front 9.5 inch piece of copper tubing that is connected to the upright copper tube has been professionally restored.
