This unusual painted storage box features charming paintings of a rabbit, a house, and a fox in the woods. The box was found in Carlisle PA and was made in the early 19th century. The box is constructed of walnut, poplar, and chestnut. The middle drawer is an 19th century replacement and there is a small hole in the top of the drawered section. W: 12.5”, D: 6.25”, H: 5.25”.
