Dramatic Polychrome Folk Art Bird Group Carving

This beautiful pine carved and polychrome painted bird group is from the early 20th century. The carving came from a New England collection and retains the original, untouched surface. The carved bird on the bottom has a pin in its beak and rotates to pick up toothpicks. There is a small section (1/2" by 1/2") of bark missing from the branch that the large bird is sitting on. W: 12.5", D: 5", H: 12".
