Dome Lid Box Attributed to Heinrich Bücher

This decorated dome lid box is attributed to Heinrich Bucher he worked in Lancaster County PA in the late 18th century. Bucher made both flat top and dome lid boxes in various sizes. His decoration is very distinct and this box is typical of his work. The dome lid box retains the original painted surface with a house on the lid and a church on three of the four sides. The box has a crack in the bottom section of the backboard and the tin hasp has been replaced
