1862 Philadelphia Reserve Brigade Buckle

This authentic buckle is made of pressed brass with a lead back. The buckle is in fair condition with some dents to the brass and missing the brass tongue on the back. The Reserve Brigade was established in 1861 as a home guard unit after most of the local militia had mustered into Federal Service. During the war many members of the RB served in Virginia with the 119th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry between 1862-1865. W: 3.25",  H: 2".
